First has a subtle sophistication without the cloying sweetness too many scents have. It's distinctly feminine and memorable. I’ve had many people who passed close to me ask what perfume I wear. I’ve tried other perfumes but always return to First.

"First" by Van Clef is my favorite fragrance. I discovered it about 15 years ago and I have never worn another perfume since. It is classic and perfect for every day wear or for an elegant or romantic evening out. I get compliments all the time, people often ask me what it is and where I get it.

I was introduced to First when a friend from Canada had it on and was working in our office. I have been wearing it for at least 10 years now. It smells so clean and subtle. It is the only fragrance that I don't have an allergic reaction to and people always ask me what fragrance it is. I have the parfum pocket size and the eau de toilette.

I love this perfume. I first (no pun intended) smelled it YEARS ago, and was so excited to be able to find it again. It's a heady perfume, but leaves a beautiful lingering scent.
