I've not had the chance to smell the original Dior Homme Sport so I can't compare it to the 2012 reformulation. Well I ordered the 2012 version and I have to say this is, by far, my most complimented fragrance. DHS 2012 a rock star! Not only does it smell exquisite, but sillage, projection and longevity are off the hook, especially for a sport fragrance. I always put one spray on my shirt after I apply it to my skin, just for the purpose of a little longer scent life, and I can still smell it on that particular piece of clothing after I wash it. That's almost unheard of for a fresh/aquatic/sport/summer scent! I've had people get a whiff of this 4-5 feet away, 6-8 hours after I've applied it. That's just unbelievable to me for this type of scent. And it don't take soaking yourself in this stuff to get that kind of projection and longevity either. 4 sprays and you're good to go! But not only that, this stuff just flat out smells great, for lack of a better word! If someone out there is searching for a signature scent, well, this is it!!!! I'm going to order 2 more bottles in the next week or two to put in storage so I'll always have it.

The reformulated 2012 DHS is in a word, brilliant. The added note of iris and toned down lemon really pushes this fragrance beyond the "sport" classification. I already have reformulated Dior Homme in my collection. I disagree with those who say it is pointless to own both. Both fragrances are great, and have entirely different uses. They compliment each other very well. DHS can be dressed up or down, where I feel DH has specific uses. (Both are signature scent worthy) I am eager to try this scent out in the summer when it is blazing hot, I hear it really excels in heat and welcomes any challenge you throw at it.
