The Vetivert scent in the background of this perfume is what attracted me to it.
From the manufacturer, the vetivert is from Haiti where the best (long lasting) vetivert smell is located. I purchased this perfume first in London and they provided me all the natural essence used. However the Classification provided does not cover any.
There is no vanilla and no wood and no spices in this perfume so the Agent Provocateur cannot be considered orienta.

The initial smell is highly intense, but mellows as the day goes on and becomes more and more soft and flowery. It is at its best after 2 hours of the initial application

I bought Agent Provocateur based on the description and reviews. I was looking for a unique scent and Agent Provocateur is certainly IT! As a previous reviewer said it defies description. Although I classified as oriental/spicy, I'm not sure it can be catagorized. After initially applying the scent it settles into many different notes that in themselves are unique. I LOVE It and my husband also loves it. A final note, when you wake in the A.M. there is still a lingering scent. Very sexy!

Purchased Agent Provocateur as liquid soap, and I use it to wash my underthings. The scent lingers, and comes out during my day at the office as my skin warm up the undergarments - it's a sort of sexy secret.
